[Today’s run: 1 mile with the dog]<\/p>\n

Over the weekend we stopped in at the local mall.\u00a0 The Sears store is closing.\u00a0 It has a big sign on it that says ‘8 days left’, and ‘ 70% off’, etc.\u00a0 So we stopped in to see what remained.<\/p>\n

There was still some good stuff in there.\u00a0 Not all of it was a bargain, but some looked pretty good.\u00a0 Our main purchase ended up being some bling from the jewelry counter.\u00a0 My wife said it was\u00a0 a very good deal.<\/p>\n

I am almost completely ignorant about jewelry.\u00a0 I can’t tell the difference between diamonds and CZ.\u00a0 Gold looks gold, but so does gold painted junk.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I appreciate the shapes, the design, the colors.\u00a0 But I am mystified about the materials.<\/p>\n

So I pretty much go by the theory that if my wife likes it than I’m really not buying jewelry, I am buying wife-happy-sauce.\u00a0 And she liked what she saw, so that’s what we did.\u00a0 The excuse for the purchase is our anniversary coming up in May.<\/p>\n

Myself, I don’t usually wear a watch.\u00a0 I don’t wear any necklaces or earrings.\u00a0 Don’t have a pocket-watch chain or a gold cigar snipper or money clip.\u00a0 The only jewelry I wear is my wedding ring.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I appreciate that it doesn’t turn green, and generally just stays the same all the time.\u00a0 The only time I take it off is if I’m doing some rock climbing or something that makes ring-wearing dangerous.<\/p>\n
