Today we ran to Schaffers Chapel on Schaffers Chapel Road.<\/p>\n
I think Schafers Chapel Road\u00a0 is just Robinson Road with a different label.\u00a0 But I could be wrong.<\/p>\n
Roads in Mississippi are different than in the midwest or west. Out there you get names like “County Road 57”. Here a road will be “Bob Smith Road”, because it goes to Bob Smith’s house I expect.\u00a0 Or maybe it goes to where Bob Smith used to live in 1885 before his house burnt down and he left for the Alaska Gold Rush.<\/p>\n
You’ll have the same road, from town A to town B. In town A it will be called “B road” in B it will be called “A road”.<\/p>\n
Robinson Road is an old road that goes NE\/SW. There are pieces and bits of it all over the place.\u00a0 There is a bit over south of Starkville.\u00a0 And a bit more in Louisville.\u00a0 I think it kind of gets lost in highway 25 for awhile, then shows up near Natchez Trace at Hwy 16.\u00a0 There is a chunk in Canton.\u00a0 After that I’m not sure.<\/p>\n
They are doing some construction on Hwy 45 near the intersection of Robinson Road \/ Shaffers Chapel Road.\u00a0 It looks like they are going to bypass a couple of old bridges and completely remove a section of the old road.\u00a0 I hope they leave it in, if only so I can jog on it instead of on the highway.<\/p>\n
