Today was a Kathleen Parker day, but not really a very good one as far as I could tell.\u00a0 Parker doesn’t like Rick Santorum.\u00a0\u00a0 No, I didn’t say that right.\u00a0 Parker likes Rick Santorum, but she thinks he can’t win in a general election.\u00a0 So if the Republicans pick Rick Santorum then they are giving up the election and we get 4 more years of Obama.<\/p>\n
Ok.\u00a0 So, she’s a political pundit and she gets to have an opinion.\u00a0 And her’s are probably better than mine seeing as how she gets paid to polish them.<\/p>\n
But that brings up a question.\u00a0 Should the average voter vote for the person that they think is the best for the office?\u00a0 Or, should the average voter vote for the person that they think is most likely to win?<\/p>\n
I find myself frequently voting for people who probably won’t win.\u00a0 And I am inclined to keep doing that. It is frustrating that the rest of the country doesn’t think the way I do.\u00a0 But sorting that out is the whole point of the election.<\/p>\n

Dear Kathleen Parker,<\/p>\n
Maybe the country won’t elect Rick Santorum.\u00a0 I can live with whoever does get elected.\u00a0 Obviously, I would like some over others.<\/p>\n
I am not inclined to spend a lot of time trying to figure out what the rest of the country wants.\u00a0 It’s a free country, and a lot of these people are just plain idiots.\u00a0 I’m going to be true to my own understanding and vote for who I want to vote for.\u00a0 If that puts the “wrong guy” into office, so be it.<\/p>\n
