Today I flew from Denver to Atlanta, then from Atlanta to Columbus, MS.\u00a0 If my understanding is correct, the only way in or out of the regional Columbus airport is through Atlanta these days.<\/p>\n

The Atlanta airport is a very busy place.\u00a0 This is concourse D.<\/p>\n

I don’t get much accomplished on the days that I fly.\u00a0 I left the hotel this morning around 7:30 and got home around 5:30 pm.\u00a0 In the course of the day I looked at the email on my blackberry a couple of times.\u00a0 But I did not use my laptop and I was pretty much ineffective all day.\u00a0 You see some people making phone calls in the airport and doing work on the plane.\u00a0 I get stressed out worrying if I am going to make that last connection to home.<\/p>\n

The plane from Denver to Atlanta was completely full as far as I could tell.\u00a0 It was a 3-3 seating arrangement (757?) and I was in a middle seat with an older lady on one side and a graduate student on the other side (grading papers). I played some kind of trivia quiz game on the little seat-back computer thingy.\u00a0 The flight to Columbus is a 2-2 configuration and I had an aisle.\u00a0 It also looked full.\u00a0 We had some rough air above Atlanta but the rest of the flight was fine.<\/p>\n

In between I was in Atlanta finding some lunch and trying to weave through this crowd.<\/p>\n
