{"id":1432,"date":"2011-09-23T16:38:41","date_gmt":"2011-09-23T21:38:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/?p=1432"},"modified":"2011-09-23T16:38:42","modified_gmt":"2011-09-23T21:38:42","slug":"foggy-field","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/?p=1432","title":{"rendered":"Foggy field"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[Today&#8217;s run: 1 mile, mixed with dog and wife]<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday morning we woke up to fog in the fields.\u00a0 I tried to take a picture of it with my new digital camera.<\/p>\n<p>The camera will let you depress the shutter button partially.\u00a0 It then does the focus adjustments and the exposure calculation.\u00a0 Then you push it on down to take the picture.<\/p>\n<p>When I pointed at the field directly the light sky was making the field too dark.\u00a0 So I pointed at some trees and did the half-push-down thing.\u00a0 I then swung over and clicked on the field.\u00a0 That seemed to help.\u00a0 My focus distance would have been the distance to the trees.\u00a0 But that&#8217;s about the same as the field distance so it worked ok.<\/p>\n<p>I tried something similar when I was trying to shoot a spider web.\u00a0 It wasn&#8217;t focusing on the web\u00a0 so I tried holding up my hand and making it focus on that.\u00a0 Unfortunately my hand was too close so I was still not focused correctly.\u00a0 But I think the concept works.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-1433\" href=\"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/?attachment_id=1433\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-1433\" title=\"foggy field\" src=\"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/GEDC0073-700x467.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"467\" srcset=\"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/GEDC0073-700x467.jpg 700w, http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/GEDC0073-1024x684.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[Today&#8217;s run: 1 mile, mixed with dog and wife] Yesterday morning we woke up to fog in the fields.\u00a0 I tried to take a picture of it with my new digital camera.
