{"id":1355,"date":"2011-09-12T17:30:01","date_gmt":"2011-09-12T22:30:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/?p=1355"},"modified":"2011-09-12T17:39:09","modified_gmt":"2011-09-12T22:39:09","slug":"field-of-fluffs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/?p=1355","title":{"rendered":"Field of fluffs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[Today&#8217;s run: 2 miles with the dog]<\/p>\n<p>Today&#8217;s picture is a section of our yard.<\/p>\n<p>I have been very happy that this dog is not a digger.\u00a0 He did a little bit of that but kind of outgrew it, or something.\u00a0 He likes to chew things.\u00a0 And the wife buys him stuffed animals and such to chew up.<\/p>\n<p>I know very well that those people at the garage sales are thinking, &#8220;Such a nice older couple.\u00a0 I&#8217;ll bet they are buying that stuffed bunny\/bear\/whatever\u00a0 to give to their grandchild.&#8221;\u00a0 Hah!\u00a0 How swiftly their velveteen doom does fall.\u00a0 After a good hour of fun we pick up the remains in the living room and throw it away.<\/p>\n<p>Sometime later, these fluffy things grow in the grass in our yard.\u00a0 Some are little hunks of blue or green plastic.\u00a0 Some are pillow stuffing.\u00a0 One looks like an ear.<\/p>\n<p>I should also say: the dog does not take his chew-toys out into the yard.\u00a0 So these things must have alternative transport.<\/p>\n<p>Hmm.<\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t know what happens to the rest of the dog&#8217;s business.\u00a0 It seems to melt away in the rain (for which I am grateful), as opposed to our experience in Colorado where things became petrified.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-1357\" href=\"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/?attachment_id=1357\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-1357\" title=\"dog fluff\" src=\"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/GEDC0028-700x467.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"467\" srcset=\"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/GEDC0028-700x467.jpg 700w, http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/GEDC0028-1024x684.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[Today&#8217;s run: 2 miles with the dog] Today&#8217;s picture is a section of our yard.
