My enclosure already included a power supply producing the +15/-15. All I have to do is put in some regulators to trim down the voltage.

This thing also will need +20 and +12 and +3 volts.

I have the HP oscillator, the controller board, an rs-232 level converter, the GPS receiver board and an enclosure. I built most of the necessary power supply for the +20 and +12. I don’t remember where I am for the +3, and I probably need a separate +5 too (I’ll have to look). I have a 9-pin rs-232 connector which will be on a switch allowing me to talk to either the controller board or the GPS receiver board.

One of the major problems with picking up a set-aside project is trying to figure out what is done and what is not. Can you believe I have had some of the pieces for this project since January 2010?

I am definitely not an electrical engineer. I don’t mind trying to repair stuff, and I have built some kits and things. But my “from scratch” work is nearly nil. So some of my project paralysis is that I don’t have a step-by-step to follow and I don’t want to mess it up. (Not like a mess-up would be a major problem. Since I’ve lived this long without a 10 Mhz frequency standard I can continue to do so.)

[Yesterday: 7 miles with Boardtown Runners, Today: 2 miles with dog.] I’m actually putting in a bit of effort on a long dormant project: my 10 Mhz frequency standard.
