[Today’s run: rest day]
We had a bit of rain come through this evening. I was wanting to go to the ham radio club meeting so I packed up and went (got there a bit late). While driving to town I went through a pretty stiff but short downpour.
Then after the meeting, coming home, the road was very wet all the way to my house.
So maybe we are getting away from the hot and dry conditions we’ve seen for the last few weeks. The soil around here is a heavy clay. When we don’t get rain it develops cracks like a dry lake bed and we have been seeing those cracks for awhile already this summer.
The ham club meeting was good. Lots of activity these days. They are planning to start a licensing class in October and then do a CW class.
