[Today’s run: rest day]
I made a bit of progress on radio projects today.
I had not been happy with my +/- 5 vdc regulator board for the GPSDO project so I rebuilt that. I got the board made and moved the components from the other board on to this new board.
I’ve also done a bit on a new project. I’m working on a morse code straight-key using a hacksaw blade. I would like to have it done for Straight Key Night (New Year’s Eve). It is just the blade and a couple of blocks of wood and a piece of PC board material. I’ll put a picture up on this blog if I eventually get it working.
No more VHF today. There is a meteor shower coming on, and some folks are able to do VHF radio contacts bouncing off of the ionized trails of the meteors. But I’ve never tried that. I may give a listen to see if I hear anything.
